Training and Background
My education reflects both a strong clinical foundation and an appreciation for creativity, language, and the nonverbal ways people understand their experiences. I hold a master’s degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Augustana College, with minors in English and studio art.
I began my work in crisis settings and later supported families and fellow therapists in a variety of therapeutic and supervisory roles. Across these experiences, I learned how to remain calm, attentive, and flexible in the face of complexity which is a perspective that continues to guide how I show up in the therapy room today.
My clinical training is centered on trauma work. This depth of training allows me to work thoughtfully with both acute and long-standing trauma, always pacing the work to support safety, regulation, and integration. My specific modalities include:
EMDR & Somatic Approaches
Jungian Sandplay Therapy
Ego State Interventions
Theraplay & Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
