Training and Background

I hold a master’s degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Augustana College, with minors in English and studio art. My education reflects both a strong clinical foundation and an appreciation for creativity, language, and the nonverbal ways people understand their experiences.

I began my work in crisis settings and later supported families and clinicians in a variety of therapeutic and supervisory roles. Across these experiences, I learned how to remain calm, attentive, and flexible in the face of complexity. This perspective continues to guide how I show up in the therapy room.

My clinical training is centered on trauma work and includes EMDR, ego state interventions, somatic approaches, and extensive sandplay therapy training. I also draw from Theraplay, DBT, and Trust-Based Relational Intervention. This depth of training allows me to work thoughtfully with both acute and long-standing trauma, always pacing the work to support safety, regulation, and integration.
