I offer a brief phone consultation to help us determine whether we’re a good fit. This is a chance to ask questions and get a feel for how I work before scheduling a first session.

I primarily work with adults who are seeking depth-oriented therapy. Many clients come not because they’re in crisis, but because they sense something isn’t working and want space to understand and shift long-standing patterns.
I also work with children and adolescents and have extensive experience supporting young people impacted by trauma, attachment disruption, and family transitions.

The first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy now. We’ll move at a pace that feels manageable, with attention to safety, comfort, and what you’re hoping for from therapy. There is no pressure to share anything you’re not ready to discuss.

Sessions are typically 50 minutes. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, though frequency can shift over time depending on needs, goals, and capacity.

That uncertainty is very common. Therapy doesn’t require certainty- Only a willingness to show up and be curious. We can move slowly, check in often, and adjust as we go.

No. While these are tools I’m well-trained in, therapy is always tailored to you. We decide together what approaches feel most supportive and appropriate at any given time.

No. Many people avoid getting help for severe phobias, such as driving anxiety, medical or dental phobias, or a fear of flying, because they are terrified of traditional "exposure therapy." At Deepwell Therapy, you will never be forced to endure a panic response. Using EMDR, we start by safely processing the memory or the anticipatory fear while you are completely grounded in the room. We take the physical charge out of the trigger first, so that when you eventually engage with the situation in your daily life, your nervous system no longer feels like it is in immediate danger.

Yes. Adoption involves complex layers of attachment, identity, and nervous system development. Because early relational experiences often happen before we have the words to describe them, standard talk therapy is rarely enough. I specialize in attachment-focused, body-based frameworks, utilizing Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Theraplay, and the ARC Framework alongside EMDR and Sandplay. Rather than just talking through behaviors or struggles, we use these modalities to build "felt safety" in the nervous system, process pre-verbal experiences, and strengthen secure relational bonds.

Yes. I believe that specialized, trauma-informed care should be accessible, so I maintain a limited number of reduced-fee spots in my practice for clients experiencing acute financial hardship. If my standard fee is a barrier to your healing, please ask about availability during our initial consultation. If my reduced-fee spots are currently full, I will do my best to provide trusted local referrals.
